What the notary stamp means
A signature you can rely on
The expert signs your appraisal in person before a notary. The notary confirms who signed it – so buyers, insurers, heirs and authorities know that the appraisal really comes from the named expert. The notarization refers to the signature, not to the content of the appraisal.

Questions about prices
What does the notarization confirm?
The notary confirms the identity of the expert and that the expert signed the appraisal personally. The notary does not check or guarantee the content of the appraisal – the expert is responsible for that.
Is the fee a percentage of the value?
No. Our fees are fixed per package. A fee based on a percentage of the appraised value would create an incentive to overvalue – reputable appraisers do not work that way.
How long does it take?
It depends on the package and the documents available. You receive a delivery date when you order.
What if my artwork turns out to be a print or a copy?
Then the appraisal says so, clearly and with reasons. That is valuable too – for example before you insure, sell or divide an estate.
